SISD Hires New Athletic Director

Stamford ISD is proud to announce the selection of Britt Hart as the new Athletic Director and Head Football Coach. This past year, Coach Hart was the Athletic Director and Head Football Coach at Merkel ISD where he was named the 2020 Co-District 5-3A Coach of the Year. Before Merkel, Coach Hart was the Athletic Director and Head Football Coach at Falls City ISD from 2015-2020 where he compiled a 59-11 coaching record. In 2015, 2016, and 2018, his Falls City football teams had the #1 offenses in 2A. During his tenure at Falls City, the football teams were 4-time State Quarterfinalists, and 2-time State Semifinalists. Coach Hart was a recipient of the three District Coach of the Year Awards, two Dave Campbellā€™s Texas Football Inspirational Coach Awards and the 2018 South Texas Coach of the Year. Before Falls City, Coach Hart was the Offensive Coordinator and Assistant Head Coach at Wellington ISD from 2008-2015. At Wellington, his offenses ranked #1 in 2012 and 2013, as well as winning a State Championship in 2013. In addition to his achievements as a football coach, Coach Hart has had success as a baseball and track coach as well as serving as an Assistant Principal for two years. Coach Hart brings 19 years as a successful athletic director, coach and educator.

Britt and his wife Chae are graduates of Tarleton State University where they were both members of college athletic teams. They are the proud parents of Rhett (11), and Caige (5). Please welcome the Hart family to Stamford ISD, and to the Stamford community.
